Joining Process

The Arches Nursery is committed to an inclusive admissions process. We welcome all children and their families and work actively to provide an inclusive education that gives all children access to a broad, balanced and stimulating environment, which challenges and motivates them. We care for and educate children from the age of twelve months to three years. When considering admissions, we are mindful of our commitment to providing high quality childcare by keeping our setting as small as possible so children and parents can benefit from a more personal approach.

The first step is to register your interest by completing the expression of interest form. Once we receive your form we will get in touch to arrange a show around visit.

Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. A child requiring a full-time place may take priority over one requiring a part-time place. In order for children and their families to make the most of their time at our setting, our current admissions policy requires children to attend the nursery for a minimum of three days per week. Although there is no official sibling policy, in practice, children who have a sibling already attending the nursery are given priority in the application process.

Food

All of our nursery meals are vegetarian and freshly prepared. We have a three week rota of tasty nutritious meals with a variety of cultural dishes to encourage children to enjoy trying new foods. Children are provided with a wide range of fruit and vegetables each day and and our menus are changed twice a year, to ensure variety and a range of seasonal ingredients. Please let us know as soon as possible if your child has an intolerance or allergy so that we can cater for this.
